Pentref tlws wedi ennill gwobr y pentref taclusaf yng Nghymru fwy nag unwaith yn ystod pum a chwe degau'r ganrif ddwaetha. Cysylltiadau'r eglwys gyda theulu Nanhoron a chofeb arbennig i'r Capt Timothy Edwards a gollodd ei fywyd ar y môr yn 1780. Ei weddw, Catherine Edwards yn adbanyddus am iddi roi tir i godi'r Capel Newydd i'r Piwritaniaid cynnar.

Yn ol o eglwys Llandygwnning ac ar hyd gwastadedd morfa Neigwl gyda glan y môr. Porth Neigwl ar y chwith - yr 'Hell's Mouth' peryglus lle collwyd nifer o longau yn ystod y blynyddoedd. Mae'r mor yn erydu'r tir yn ddrwg a rhannau o dir y ffermydd yn syrthio i'r traethau bob blwyddyn a'r clogwyni yn cwympo'n gyson.

The small village of Llangian has won the "Best kept village in Wales" award on two occasions during the 1950s and '60s.

The village church is connected with the Nanhoron family and there is a memorial stone to Capt. Timothy Edwards who lost his life at sea 1780. His widow, Catherine Edwards was responsible for giving land to found the chapel for the early puritans.

This was the manor of Neigwl in the middle ages, and before that the court of the princes of Cymydmaen

Returning seaward over the flat marsh of Morfa Neigwl, to the south the long stretch of beach known as Porth Neigwl or 'Hells Mouth'. This 5km stretch of coast has been the site of many a shipwreck. Facing south west this long graceful bay faces square on to the prevailing winds. This coastline is continually being eroded with land being thrown down and the cliff edge changing on a regular basis.

The western end of bay ends at Treheli where the road rises sharply and twists past a cottage obscured by the trees-Sarn-y-Plas- where R S Thomas lived after leaving his parish duties in Aberdaron.

Follow the road and you emerge onto the slopes of Mynydd Rhiw.
